Phobia Editorial

The assessment brief was to create an editorial of a phobia. I chose to do mine on the phobia of happiness, also known as “Cherophobia”.  Who even knew this was a thing?! I found the topic interesting to learn about and it gave me some good inspiration for imagery to match.  I used InDesign to create the final product but used Procreate to create all of the illustrations.  I drew all of the smiley faces, used Effects to create the glitchy shadow look and Liquify to alter them and the text in the back to give it a spooky, scary feel.  I had to do a lot of research to get enough text for 2 pages and look good.  Other than the research part, I found this assessment pretty easy to do, partly because the topic made it interesting and it naturally inspired creative ideas that I was able to recreate using various tools.
